Pathway News:
Pathway has recently finished up studio work for our debut album on the Mountain Roads Recordings label. Our new project, "Somewhere Tonight" is available online or you can contact us by email at or by phone at 336-789-6088.  We thank you all for visiting our website.  We also look forward to further working with Karl Cooler and MRR. Hope to see you soon.

We, (Tom T & Dixie),

Treasure a little home we have at the foot of
Clinch Mountain, near the Carter Family Fold and close to Bristol, home of Mountain Roads Recordings.  As we descend the road into Webber City, we never fail to experience that rush of well-being, that feeling of homecoming that envelops us in warmth of relaxation and the comfort of feeling secure in real country lifestyles, and under the spell of genuine mountain and bluegrass music. Now, that’s a mouthful maybe, but it’s the same feeling we get listening to Pathway.

We live in Nashville, TN and are often subjected to the various “feels” of the music. So when the new “Somewhere Tonight” project arrived, we pressed the play button, not knowing quite what to expect. Our first reaction was one of relief at how well we liked it!

As the record continued to play, we settled down into a mental “journey home” with neither of us ever reaching for the stop or volume buttons. It was a smooth trip. These guys are doing the real thing honestly, never forcing hot licks that are unnecessary and “no part of nothin’”.

Mountain Roads Recordings has been making quite a bit of noise in the bluegrass music business here of late. With this CD by Pathway, we are treated to some enthusiastic and well-performed music by a group that lets you know they are seriously having a good time in the studio. Mitchell, Mark, Scott, Justin, Jake and Casey were born to pick together. Karl and Gail Cooler, of Mountain Roads Recordings, have good ears and big hearts. With this excellent Pathway release, we agree that the future of bluegrass and our heritage in music is in great hands. These guys are super good song writers and we feel lucky to get a song on here. We’ve never met, but how well we know them. Maybe it takes one to know one.
